When Hopes Crash

HOPE, the word in itself has an Ocean deep of emotions. Some spend their entire life in Hope of achieving something while others end their lives in Hope of a better one. But when hopes break life has no meanings. When you break someone's heart it's not the Pain that kills them it's the death of Hope what kills.
Days have been tough for him but even that 5 mins of breather with her lightens him up. There's so much politics around and he's been stuck between everything. All that cures is her presence and smile. While TIME is something she has less to offer. He misses the attention she gave him before but now has started to adjust with it and puts up a smile to hide his feelings.
Again they stood in that beautifully done lawn smoking and he asked about her plans on weekend. He somewhere knew she may e busy with her husband but just as always he never likes any leaf unturned. "What's your plan this Saturday babe". She has those shimmer in her eyes n says "I'm Free, we can go out to meet the Astrologer". He grows up like a torch, and says "Wanted to Take you on a dinner date". And they shared that soul built smile.
He may have never told her but he needed this time with her even more than she needed it. He was badly overworked at the restaurant and office. Things we're not good at work and just went through a lot of shit from his Manager. He just wanted to have some free time with her and release the load. A time where it's them and an ambience which really let's him talk openly. He asked her again are you sure, don't wanna cancel plans n then feel bad. She said I'm dead sure. And then they left.
He went on a call with his Boss and as usual was a pretty painful conversation. All he wanted to get to the lawn see her pretty face and just be happy discussing their Saturday plans. He forgot every other pain and called her. She met him there and he told her about his bad call but just didn't want to spoil her mood too with his deperessing meeting talks. And then she said her husband wanted her to go with her and she won't be able to join him for the Dinner.
Hopes broke, he felt like just an option. All he wanted was her to realise sometimes he needs her besides.

Life's hard. A slip of tongue and she said her friends are also coming to the party. Strange how someone can shatter a heart into pieces. Something inside him died tonight, something she may never get back.

She said she wants to move on. And yeah, hearing that was pretty painful. They both stood smoking at that beautifully done lawn without uttering a word. Sometimes Silence has so much to say. His heart was dying to hear the singlest sound that she would make. She never said a word. Atlast, he decided to break the silence and asked her, "Are you breaking up with me?" Even this question of his had a hope to hear a word from her mouth but all she did was have a puff of smoke and nod affirmatively. Right now, his heart has so many suggestions, his brain has so much to say but all he could do or think of was to pen his feelings down. He's in deep pain but going to her and taking another blow of silence is something that will kill him.

It was nothing less than what you call a divine experience So this is a story of one unplanned evening of two crazy people who were both in their mid-thirty’s Both were madly in love with each other but they had met each other at this juncture of life where they are both well settled in their life’s professionally and personally…well by the standards of this society. Somehow the energy that they had was immense among themselves. They were enough for each other in any situation. Statues of No Liberty!

It was time to leave. One hour for the bus back home.  Isn’t it strange how time flies when you want to savor it the most? And makes you feel like an eternity when you wanna get over with. Is Time an Illusion or a Serpent laughing from above, enjoying how it brings out the best & worst in us. Something had changed last night but neither of them knew what it was. Had they gained or lost a part of themselves? She asked him to sit down with him on the front porch as the drizzle transformed to downpour. Thundering outside and inside their hearts, a silence of ages left them in short of words. He wanted to turn, see those dark brown eyes and let her know what she meant to him, but they were statues with no liberty to move or talk. All he could do was hope that she felt the same.
